The DaVinci Device 571 is unmatched in versatility for connecting, taming and shaping any sound. This super quiet pre-amp box accepts virtually any source and level and control it for ideal presentation.

With the DaVinci Device you can apply the famous Lampifier dynamic reduction to any microphone, including wireless! It's also perfect for acoustic guitar and bass, to smooth the sound before going directly into a PA.

The secret weapon of the DaVinci Device is the same super-smooth compression technology found within the Lampifier microphones. Here it appears in a stand alone unit with level knob to control the amount of dynamic reduction to be applied ("Lampification"). The Patented Dynamic Control circuit is then paired with a high-quality 5-band cascaded EQ, and topped off with speaker cabinet simulation. In addition, the 571 also happens to be the world's quietest direct box: 1/4" and XLR inputs with huge headroom due to 0db, -15db, -30db pad options plus level control knob with peak indicator (accepts anything--instrument level, line level, piezo, XLR) plus ground lift option and even the ability to pass 48v phantom power to a connected XLR mic! Outputs include your choice of Line level, XLR direct out, and USB 44.1k/48k. In other words, it connects virtually anything to anything with unmatched dynamic and tonal shaping control. It can even function as a load box! (See below.)

INPUTS: 1/4" unbalanced, 1/4" TRS, 1/4" piezo picking, XLR. (Dual 1/4" inputs can sum a stereo input to mono.)

OUTPUTS: XLR -10dBu, USB digital 44.1k/48k, 1/4" Line Out -10dBv

To use as a LOAD BOX place the DaVinci between amp and speaker cabinet to tap the amp's signal output and utilize the on board speaker simulator rather than mic'ing the cabinet to achieve 100% isolation (no stage bleed) and therefore better mixing control of the sound. This also allows you to capture the true amp's characteristic directly into a recording system without the volume inherent in mic'ing a real speaker cabinet. For example, you could use headphones to monitor and keep the neighbors and your roommate happy when recording a 1am!

How? Insert the DaVinci in line between the amp and speaker cabinet (100 watt max). Specifically, run a speaker cord from the powered amp output into the Left (mono) 1/4" input of the DaVinci. Select "Thru" on the nearby switch. Connect a second speaker cable from the Thru 1/4" output on the DaVinci to your speaker cabinet. Now, the DaVinci will pass the amp's powered signal thru to the cabinet and tap that signal and also present it to the various outputs: 1/4" line out, USB out and XLR +4dbu out.

POWER: The DaVinci Device 571 can be powered in any of three different ways. It can accept 48v phantom power through it's connected XLR output (running to the mixing board), or it can be battery powered via 9v, or it can be powered by AC adaptor (not included). Note: If you want to pass phantom power to a condenser microphone attached to the 571's XLR input, you MUST use AC power. Neither 48v phantom power nor 9v battery power is enough to power both the 571 and a connect 48v phantom powered mic.

The DaVinci lives in my gig bag. Walking into so many different live situations I never know what will be needed, but this thing covers every possible signal connection needed, whether it’s connecting my Axe Fx pedalboard into the PA (giving me a quick dynamic and EQ control with real ***** instead of messing with software through difficult interfaces), or simply offering phantom power for my Lampifier 111 mic if I’m plugging into a cheap PA (with no 48v), or for an acoustic gig it’s great to sweeten up the electric/acoustic guitar for smooth clarity and warmth. It sure beats lugging around a 2nd rack preamp unit, and it’s great on bass too.
